Yeah, we were treated especially well at the JW Marriott Seoul, but I am convinced it was not hospitality that was bestowed upon us because we are travel bloggers. Instead, it is a Korean hospitality, that I just did not anticipate, which was carried through to the Marriott properties where we stayed. It was a hospitality that had me craving a return visit to to explore more of Korea.
I can’t say enough about the Courtyard Marriott brand overseas. I am not sure when they decided to revamp the brand to become so contemporary and energetic, but we truly enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Seoul.
I have been known to be the Goldilocks of the beaches, and in Bali this was certainly the case. I am not a surfer, or even a strong swimmer, so the hard core, strong wave beaches on the southwest of Bali just don’t do it for me. Once the rainy season set in, causing not so fun dark grey clouds to emerge over Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, most days, I knew we needed a break. Generally, the beach is a little more sunny and warm, so what better way to escape the rain, and escape Ubud, than to head to the Courtyard Bali […]
This was our third trip to Barcelona, Spain, truly one of my favorite cities in the world. But this time, it felt like it was our first. In the past, we have always booked hotels close to Las Ramblas, the main tourist drag between Placa Cataluyna and the water. The Gothic Quarter is on one […]
I’ve been noticing a trend in my recent search for accommodations. When we were officially traveling full time, I often sought out the most basic budget accommodations we could find, always concerned about how much we were spending. This was in direct contradiction to the business travel of my former life where fancy hotels were […]
In my former life, I traveled for business quite a bit, and between Eric and I we held status on airlines and at hotels. I quickly became accustomed to upgrades and priority lines. I stayed so much at the Westin Palo Alto that the guy who manned the desk at night knew me by name, […]
